Garmin Approach G5 Review

Final Verdict: 4.8/5.  Bottom Line: Great golf GPS, not much point to read this review.  But, if youd like to… read on!

Garmin describes this dandy little GPS like this (basically).  You can improve your golf game  with Garmin’s Approach G5.  And they aren’t very far off.  I can attest that this will improve your golf game.  The device is waterproof, has a touchscreen that you can use with a stylus and comes pre loaded with 1000s of golf courses in north america. It uses a very nicely built GPS to measure  individual shot distances and show the exact yardage to fairways, hazards, and greens.

Dandy little unit displays

You can simply touch where you want to shoot, zoom in on the green and setup your shots.  This little dandy works greaT with all clubs: irons, drivers and moreYou can also use it to keep golf scores no more paper scorecards.  This is a digital score card and much more.


Both units were basically equivalent in the following ways, both good and bad:

This thing can display shape of green;
The unit allow movement of pin location for more accurate estimate to pin itself;
